Во-первых, easily используется для усиления значения предположения при модальных глаголах may, might, could. В этом случае она обычно переводится русским вполне (хотя в современном разговорном русском языке в этой функции возможно употребление слова легко, кстати, также частицы, развившейся из наречия):
